Private Client – Lake District

This was one of our stunning projects working in collaboration with Staveley-based Nielsen House at a property in Windermere in the Lake District.

The existing 1970’s property was remodelled to suit the customers needs as well as to satisfy the clients creative passions.

Jacaranda handmade carpets Heavy Velvet – Artemisia

It takes approximately 26 days to hand-weave just one roll of Jacaranda carpet, passing through at least 130 highly skilled hands from start to finish. Each person involved in the process from dying and drying the yarn to winding the individual 1,200 bobbins to hand-weaving on traditional wooden looms, plays a key part in creating Jacaranda’s wonderful natural colour bank and character filled textures.

Jacaranda believe that wool makes great carpets. It’s natural, renewable, biodegradable and offers a range of finishes. Soft, warm and hard-wearing, wool fibres are naturally coated in lanolin making it stain and fire resistant and easy to clean. All carpets and rugs come with a 5-year guarantee and are moth proofed during manufacture.
